| Having qualified as a personal trainer and nutrition specialist, Ray Klerck joined Men's Health magazine UK in 2001. Over the next seven years, he would become the most successful Fitness Editor in the magazine's history, combining his expert knowledge with the latest scientific research to create award-winning exercise programmes and diets. Standing 6'3 tall, weighing 105 kgs and holding just 8% body fat, Ray became the first ever Men's Health staffer to star as the magazine's cover model in August 2007. Using the same techniques, he has advised and trained numerous professional Men's Health cover models to achieve world-class physiques. Ray has also done the same for members of the MH staff, readers and UK celebrities, helping ordinary men build muscle and burn fat fast for remarkable Before And After features in the magazine. To the left, you'll see some examples of how his training and nutritional strategies can achieve extraordinary results in a brief, deadline-based time period. Ray's successes helped Men's Health become the UK's biggest selling men's magazine in 2009 and his workouts now reach the largest fitness reading audience in the UK. It has also been voted best Men's Health edition worldwide (out of 48 editions) for the past four years before lifting the title of UK Magazine Of The Year. Ray's work continues to be reprinted across several international Men's Health publications and is followed by millions of readers each month. Ray continues as Men's Health's chief fitness and nutrition advisor on a freelance basis. He currently writes and edits an 18-page section of the magazine entitled Personal Trainer and pens regular in-depth features on health and fitness. Each one of Ray's easy-to-understand articles and routines is designed to help the man on the street use cutting-edge scientific research for his own personal benefit. At all times, he pushes the Men's Health motto: small steps, big results. He has also co-authored a recent sports nutrition book, A Fist Full of Food with the UK's leading sports nutritionist Matt Lovell, who currently advises the UK Olympians and the England Rugby team. The book is a snapshot of the best eating practises you can do, whether you're a professional athlete or a mouse potato. Ray is available for freelance writing assignments, training plans and nutritional advice at all times. Contact him on
